We are delighted to announce that Bryan Murphy has joined the team as Project Manager. Bryan comes with extensive experience, across a range of large-scale build projects in the O&G industry, which he will utilise to ensure the remediation and site construction develops in line with our proposed timeline. Bryan also has a close connection to the project, born and raised in West Dubartonshire.
“ I wanted to join Malin Group to get involved in the SMTP project in any way I could. Being close to home, I saw it as a great opportunity for myself to be involved in a project which will have a direct positive impact on the area I am from, thereby giving me the chance to help contribute.
Looking to the future, the realisation of this project to finality will bring career opportunities to not only experienced professionals but more importantly for me, to young people in the local area with an interest in following a career in engineering. To have on their doorstep, companies offering the chance for these young people to realise their career ambitions in engineering through apprenticeship/vocational training schemes would be personally very satisfying. I personally witnessed the decline of industry as I was growing up in my local area and the resultant knock on effects of this in the local communities. The SMTP is a chance to bring some of that back and offer some long term employment security to these communities with chances for young people to gain a foothold on their career ladder within engineering.”
We are delighted to have Bryan on board!
